Swirls out.
Gloss back.
For paint that looks dull or hazy in the sun. We polish out the swirls and light scratches, so your car shines like a mirror again.
01 · Look closer
Looks clean?
Shine a light.
In the shade, dark paint can look perfect. Under one bright light, the swirls show up as rings. Move your mouse over the paint. You're holding the light.Tap the paint to move the light.
Where swirls come from
Brush car washes
Spinning brushes drag grit from the last car across yours.
One bucket, one mitt
The dirt you wash off goes back on the mitt, then round and round on the paint.
Dry towels and dusters
Wiping dust off dry paint drags it across the clear coat.
02 · The 50/50
Half done.
See the line?
We tape a line and polish one side first, so you can see the change for yourself. Drag the tape, or keep scrolling.
Hazy and gray. The light breaks up into rings, and the lights above look soft and blurry.
Deep and black. The light stays one sharp point, and the lights above look like lines drawn with a ruler.
03 · The work
Five steps.
Pure mirror.
Careful work in the studio, one panel at a time. You get the price before we start.
-
Step 01
Foam goes on first, so dirt lifts before a mitt touches the paint. Then a clay bar pulls out what washing leaves.
-
Step 02
Under bright lights we find every swirl and scratch. We tape the trim and edges, so the polisher stays on the paint.
-
Step 03
A cutting polish levels the clear coat, down to the bottom of the swirls. This is where the scratches go away.
-
Step 04
A finer polish clears the light haze the cut leaves behind. Now the reflection is sharp, like a mirror.
-
Step 05
We seal the fresh paint. Add a ceramic coating, and water beads up and rolls off, and washing gets easy.

Before a coating
Getting ceramic
A coating keeps the paint the way it is. Fix the swirls first, then coat it.
The sun test
- Park your car in the sun.
- Look at the paint near the bright spot where the sun reflects.
- See fine rings, like a spider web? Those are swirls.
What polish can't fix
If your fingernail catches in a scratch, it may go through the clear coat. Polish can make it softer, but it may need paint. We look first and tell you before we start.
05 · Pairs with ceramic
Correct it.
Then coat it.
A ceramic coating goes on top of your paint and keeps it the way it is. So we fix the paint first, then coat it.
- Correction takes the swirls out.
- The coating adds a hard, glassy layer on top.
- Water beads up and rolls off. Washing gets easy.
- It doesn't make paint scratch-proof. Wash it gently and it stays sharp.
06 · Questions
Straight
answers.
The things people ask before they book a correction.
Will it take out every scratch?
It takes out swirls, haze and light scratches. A deep scratch that goes through the clear coat may need paint. We look first and tell you what to expect.
Is polishing bad for my paint?
We take off as little clear coat as we can. We try a small test spot first, then use the gentlest pad and polish that does the job.
How long will you need my car?
It depends on the car and how much it needs. You'll know the time and the price before we start.
How do I keep it looking like this?
Wash it by hand with clean mitts and two buckets, and dry it with a soft towel. Skip the brush washes. A ceramic coating makes washing even easier.
Do I need a ceramic coating too?
You don't have to. But right after a correction is the best time for one, because it goes on top of fresh paint with no swirls.
